Second stop. Large space in a warehouse setting. Parking in lot available. Big interior including a long communal table. Outdoor mostly covered patio, plus a picnic area with tables and a gas fire pit. Next to the train tracks. Permanent onsite Taco shack. Friendly service. Doing decent business at 4PM on a Wednesday. 16 taps, including an N/A. Flights of four available, individually priced; mine came to like $11. All good so far, yes? Unfortunately that is the end of it. Beer quality is substantially below average. The flagship IPA is downright bad. The hazy was the best of the four and it was barely hitting average for style. Unfortunate since the rest of the operation is quite interesting.

They have a few cycling small batch beers that are very good. The Bird of Prey is particularly good.

Huge fucken building with a massive operation. Really big taproom that had four rotten beers on tap during our visit. It was a nice place but the beers were just god awful.

Shitters: have yet to visit

This place was kind of tough to find...back near a UPS shipping depot. So maybe you can drop off your latest trade before you come here. Huge location with a fairly well decorated interior, though it had sort of a sterile, surgical feel to it. They had four beers on tap during our visit and they were all just terrible.

Huge interior with a large brewing system and apparently a lot of money thrown into the operation. I think they are trying right out of the gate to be a big-name brewery that people associate with Boulder, similar to the marketing attempt by Upslope to appear local for local drinkers (at the expense of beer quality in the case of Upslope IMO). Problem is, the beers are in horrible shape. It’s not really that they are dirty (not all, some are), as in dirty fermentation artifacts left by the yeast, it’s more like everything is out of balance and the flavors extracted from malt and hops are the crudest, wonkiest things you’ve ever tasted. This stuff compares to Lithuanian beer what with the detergent and gum and taffy and grape jelly notes. I don’t see how the brewers and employees don’t know the beer needs work. Every single pour was a mess in the nose and the texture of each was watery, thin and flabby. Add to that the location, tucked back behind the UPS building and up against a VERY loud area of train tracks, it’s not a place which will see foot traffic and I can’t imagine it will become a destination for beer travelers given how poor their beer has been received so far. For real, the train passes right behind the tasting room, and if you’re unfortunate enough to sit on the patio facing the tracks when a train passes, you will undoubtedly want to leave after the 5th minute of loud, scraping metal of a slow train passing.

Wow, for a brand new start up these guys have gone all out. They have a large warehouse with a large brewing system, pallets of empty cans waiting to be filled, and a good sized tasting room. The problem with this set up is that it’s hidden behind a UPS warehouse and the parking lot is currently torn up and being worked on. There was a taco stand outside but there were only a couple of people in the building and we weren’t eating. They had four beers on tap. Sadly none of them were good. Actually they were pretty bad. They were all sweet and tasted like taffy. It’s a shame. Hopefully they get the system dialed in and work out what ever other issues they might be having.
