U Bulovky Letní ležák 11° | 4.4% | 10/6/2021 |
54 An old school Czech pub that offers average beers at best. Wasn't worth the trip from the center of the city. |

64 RBESG2019 - I literally cannot add anything to Marko's review. A time capsule with a waitress so grumpy that even someone used to Viennese standards would raise an eyebrow, but we do have to admit the service was very fast and we did get what we ordered. The standard beers were good, the seasonals varied. An extremely old school Czech pub I guess. |
52 RBESG 19 A short tram ride from either Palmovka (yellow line) or Ládví (red line), then walk a little to find a place that's almost like a time capsule. Classic Czech pub interior, slightly worn down. Annoying drunken patrons talking/shouting extremely loudly at one table, and annoying foreigners (us) seems to have made the waitress pissed off and quite rude, even though we behaved, ordered in Czech and were nice, but we got our orders fairly fast. Four beers on tap when we visited. The 12° Svetlý Ležák was good, the Weizen, as expected from this brewery - very good, the seasonal Karamel forgettable and the seasonal Honey Ale a complete failure. The regulars are a hit and the seasonals a miss it seems. Okay utopenec for not that much but if I remember correctly, but we may have overpaid the bread. Good beer prices. All in all... in all honesty, I'm now sorry I've recommended this place for visiting people as something good and authentic without visiting it myself first. There are places with a better selection, better beers where you'll feel more welcome, easier to reach, with prices that are as good, and that are as authentic nowadays. I hope my next visit will make me reconsider this rating though. |

66 Close to Bulovka tram. Not that easy to reach from City Center. This place is more frequent among the locals. Service is okay, don't expect something friendly. Better if you speak Czech. Beers are okay, but nothing special. The Czech lager is just good, they also brew a Weisse beer which is better. Prices are cheap. Good place, not for beergeeks tho... |

74 Visited early evening (17,00 ish) Friday 08/12. Close to Bulovka tram stop which can be reached in about 5-6 stops from Palmovka (Metro Line B). All tables were reserved although only about one third were occupied. Therefore I sat at the bar for my 2 beers - both the Svetly Lezak 12 & the Tmavy Spezial were i.m.o very good beers, so my experience was still very positive. Recommended but perhaps visit earlier in the day. |
