74 Located o at the far end of Carytown, it a comfy space. Pretty new, modern interior. Prompt service, flights available. Nice varied selection of styles. Family friendly. |
68 Small winery slash brewery that's a little out of the way from other Richmond breweries. Friendly service and a nice airy place, with good deck seating area in a cool part of town. Flights available. They do a lot of sours and Belgian styles. Beer quality is the only trouble here - many below average beers at this place. Wouldn't recommend for this reason, given all the better options in Richmond. |
74 Good little brewery. Parking is rougher than most parts of Richmond. They do flight size pours. Worth a stop. |
72 A bit more of an urban location, street parking available. Smallish space inside, decent sized bar and a couple of tables in front. Tap list on a chalk board. Sample sized pours individually priced. Seems to have some what of a saison focus, and those seemed decent overall. The scotch ale was ungood, however. They also had some wines and meads in addition to beers. |
70 Small brewery in Carytown. Small bar and a handful of tables plus some couches in the back area. Pretty small brewing setup in the back past the restrooms. Pretty busy on Friday night, service was fine. Decent selection of their house beers with a few barrel aged creations. No food other than some snack type stuff. Their coffee stout was my favorite of the night. Seemed kind of pricey for house beers. Mostly street parking with some parking garages scattered around. Okay stop if in Carytown. |
72 Lively place on a Friday night, with live music as well. Medium sized bar to the right, a few tables and standing areas scattered around. The barstools, oddly, are fixed to the floor, which took some getting used to - it was easier to stand. Beers were tasty. Good service despite the crowds. Worth a stop. |
70 Stopped in on a recent Fri eve. Lively and fun but not overly crowded. Decent service. Small selection of their own brews (even pulled out a winner for our non-beer drinker friend). Average prices as I recall. |
72 another new brewery for Richmond. This location will be excellent for shoppers stopping bye for a brew. Parking will be tough it is across the street from a McDonalds. There is public parking off the side street to the North of Cary. This ia a small brewer with a 3 barrel fermenter. The beers tasted were OK. The tripel and stout were above average. They had no sodas only water. Some food but I did not try any. |
64 Yes, I absolutely had the Sublime song in my head when I arrived. Located in Carytown which means parking might be hell on Earth, depending on when you go. Sparse tasting room with some tables. Bartenders were attentive despite being busy. Only 3 on tap, $3 per 4 ounce sample. Quality was mixed... the salted caramel porter was good, the tripel was play and the brown ale had some minor diacetyl issues. They’ve got some growing to do and I wish them luck. |
