60 Back in the day, this was one of the best places to pick up beer in B-N. Has a decent selection of a variety of brewers, both midwest and national. They get most of what Friar Tuck’s get in terms of brewers, but nowhere near the brands. Not a bad shop in a pinch. |
60 Not a vast selection, but a good one. Several beers here not available in the Chicago area. I was also able to score a couple bottles of Grant’s Hopzilla, now retired, which made this hophead pleased. I’ll stop back when in Bloomington again. |
72 The staff was very helpful to a girl just visiting, and was extremely knowledgable. They told me which beers would be good to take to Noogfest, and when I got home and checked, sure enough, they had great reviews. So that made me happy. They had LOTS of seasonals. They had Arcadia, Bells, Founders, Victory, Unibroue, Schlafly, New Holland, 3F and ALL the CO breweries. They did not have as much of a selection as Friar Tucks, but the service was better IMO and the atmosphere was more relaxed. They had make your own 6ers for $6.99 when I was there as well, which is always a bonus |
