Waterline Brewing Company

Have wanted to visit for a long time, finally found an opportunity to get to Wilmington, and this was our first stop. Located in an interesting location, WBC did some masterful work to resurrect some old industrial space into a super-viable environment for both a great industrial brewery and an inviting taproom and beer garden. There's also an interesting, quirky, sometimes-open artist commune of some kind tied into the property. I think the renovated structure offers lots of opportunities for other future expansion, too. Our visit came during the semi-lockdown era of COVID, which they handled very well. The beers, which included a handful of unique choices, were all above average or better. The staff is super friendly and attentive. A bit on the edge of Wilmington's downtown scene, so stop here first before going downtown to park and walk to other spots. Brewery #908.
