Johnny’s Off License

They say the oldest beer shop in Rome, opened for 17 years now. Medium sized store, not too much space to move around. Good selection of beers both Italian and imports, however I did expect a bit more. I'd say number of beers is closer to 300 rather than 750. Several fridges in the back. Some prices seemed too high, but I guess that's not unusual in Italy. Good if you're nearby, but wouldn't come here from other parts of Rome to do my beer shopping.

Belle boutique de bières et de vins remplie à craquer. Beaucoup de choix locaux et d'importations. Les prix sont plutôt bons et le service est excellent. Nous avons été bien conseillé pour l'achat de bières italiennes par un vrai passionné.

Visited there March 2019. Such good selection of beers, not so much darker ones. Good service. Couple of seats inside. Plastic mugs.

Discovered this place around the corner from our AirBnB so stopped in. A great selection of local, European and US brews - seemed somewhat expensive but need to remember that Italy can be pricey. Not sure I would go out of the way to this place, but maybe if you want some US stuff it might be worth it. Friendly guy was manning the place and he was able to make some solid recommendations.

Nice selection of European beers, quite competitive prices. Bought some gems from Deu Ciel. Not difficult to get from city center.

Visited on a Friday evening after a spot of sightseeing at the Colosseum - Johnny’s is about a 20 minute walk south of there. Place was very busy outside with lots of on street relaxed drinkers creating a great vibe. Shop is quite large but with the downstairs beer area being rather compact, and larger upstairs being mainly for wine. Very good selection of bottles, maybe 50/50 Italian and was able to put a great box of 12 beers together from new to me breweries. Enjoyable visit.
