Visited with my wife on the afternoon of 7th Sep 2019. Three roomed place with plenty of 'local charm'. We sat in the large back room which is a bit like an old railway station's waiting room more than a snug or saloon bar. Large if fairly uninteresting tap selection, I managed two new rates, hoped for more, but even though I've only had 60 odd Irish beers the choice here didn't help me with as many new ones as I expected. The whole place needs some help as it's looking tired and well worn, still liked it though!

Classic, old pub which has seen better days, I guess. Patrons seem to be locals with occasional tourist checking the authentic Irish pub. Around 20 taps, pretty much all of them macros (one of them seemed to be Bud) and faux craft. Everyone drank Guinness anyway so I jumped on that train. Frankly don't see a reason to visit this one, been to way better traditional pubs.

Decent and historical Dublin city centre pub, 3 new ticks on tap for me.

Sometimes I really fall in love for a place even if it doesn’t have a good selection or it sell crap beer too .. this place is one of my favorite pub in Dublin and it’s quite renowned for the quality of their Guinness.. there are definitely better place where to drink craft beer in town but this place still worth a visit

A few blocks east of the touristy Temple Bar area, you’ll find this wonderful spot that was somewhat quiet and frequented by "locals" during my three visits here in February 2017. Ambiance is a funny category here, I give it full marks for the old woody rooms and masses of history dripping off the walls, not for any sense of decorative brilliance. Its glory days were associated with a long-gone concert hall across the road, and visits from the likes of Nat King Cole, Laurel and Hardy, Danny Kaye and Judy Garland after their shows. It is among my favourite Dublin pubs for their choice of beer; the Guinness goes down like creamy silk, but you can also enjoy multiple offerings from O’Hara’s, Franciscan Well, MacArdles and McGargles (!), as well as the usual suspects like Coors Light, Heineken and Carlsberg (shudder). A craft rotating tap I didn’t try was the Franciscan Well Rye IPA, but I loved the FW Rebel Red. Very Highly Recommended.
