84 I was blown away by all the exclusive and hard to find beers in this one spot. I live in MO; there were at least a dozen breweries distributed here that I can't find in my home state. Since I have to review all other aspects, it is a cramped space, close quarters and hot. The service was not very attentive but I don't need it to be since I know what I'm looking for. Actually, I don't like employees bothering me while I'm beer shopping. You cannot do any better for finding whales in downtown CHI than this place. Maine Beer Co, Alesmith, Mikerphone, Allagash, Untitled Art just to name a few. A must stop. |
78 Ambiance is what it is (standard caveat for these places...) but selection is actually quite good, and staff is friendly. That goes a long way. As I’m usually staying in North Side, this is my first stop whenever in town. |
94 What a store! Was looking for the famous Goose Island Boubon County. Again was told to be a week early, but at the end they produced some bottles still. Many thanks. Did not make the journey from The Netherlands in vain after all. Great service. |

82 First time I’ve been in one of these places and the selection was crazy. Picked up a lot of 3F and a bunch of other stuff. Would have got more but flying home the next day and couldn’t carry that much. Nice selection. |
64 I’ve been to the Lincoln Park location, which is awesome - this sucks in comparison, but is still a good stop for beer if you’re in downtown a most cities have shit for bottle shops in their downtown areas, so this was nice to see - the vibe is like a dirty old grocery store (reminds me of the old A&P stores right before they all closed down for good) dropped into a basement - not a lot of cold beer, which kind of sucks if you’re there to take stuff back to your hotel - two aisles of beer, with a lot of local/regional stuff - cashiers had shitty attitudes - decent prices - selection, though, is not nearly as vast as the Lincoln Park location - if you can go to that one, do so. |

70 Nice selection here. Typical liquor store warehouse vibe. Big and full of quantity. I wasn’t too impressed by the beers they had up for mixed 6 packs, but some of the 22s and 750s were very interesting. Even found one Three Floyds beer I haven’t had, which is a definite plus. I’ll be back, and next time it’ll be to transport stuff home. |
80 For me this was the easiest store to access from downtown on foot. Nice selection of singles for a mixed pack but also buckets of other local and worldwide choices. Friendly staff that asked you if you needed help once and then left you alone. Prices were average but the mixed sixer seemed like the best deal. |
78 Bright clean store. Very good selection. Reasonable prices. Plenty of beer on shelves, varieties also refrigerated. Specials and mixer sixer packs for $9.99. Staff was very pleasant. Did not ask any questions. |
