92 This is a small shop/bar connected to an affiliated pizza shop. The waiters/shopkeepers service both establishments. El Grifo has about 200 or so bottles of mostly Mexican beer from all sorts of craft breweries... Colima, Zorra, Chingoneria, Tulum, etc... plus, they have a smaller curated Mezcal selection. Some of the beer is less than fresh, but they have a pretty good turnover. You can also get samples of all of the mezcals, which is pretty great. The shoptender/waiter, Luis, speaks very good English and is very helpful. You can take the beers for there or to go. The seating is mostly outside, but is very nice with a lot of plants everywhere. The pizza place (Pizzas Nosferatu) is very good by any standards. We only are a small pie but this place could be a sit down restaurant in Brooklyn and succeed. Prices for beer, I am guessing, are a bit high, but they are still pretty well priced for US/European standards, especially for in-bar drinking. There are price breaks for getting multiple bottles. I highly recommend this place (I will end up having about 20 rates from here). |
