Pivnaya Duma (Khreschatyk)

Visited in August 2019. Multi storey place, very centrally located. Stone walls separated with black steel mesh. Sort of a bit ancient and a bit industrial. Very nice service, terrific food - the borsh with salo was the best I've ever had. Nice atmosphere as well. Tasting tray available and their IPA is one of the best beers that you'll find in Kiev. Absolutely recommended!

New visit 2021-07-27 the bar pub restaurant east of Khreshatyk Hotel: I ordered ?????? and seasonal pale ale. Waitress spoke anglyiskyi. Nice fresh beer. ???? ????? ????....... . . Old visit 2020-07-27 the shop in Tsum: I visited torgovyj centr ???, on Khreshatyk 38's sixth level. Found a pair of Pyvna Duma beers and fifteen other ukrainian microbrews. Helpful young man at work monday morning. Selection was not overwhelmingly impressive though. When Sil'po has more Varvar... .. .. go figure.

Lokal firmowy browaru Pivnaya Duma z Lwowa, troche schowany w bramie, przy Chreszczatyku, dosc duzy wybór piw, glównie butelkowych, ale mozna tez trafic sztosy, jak na przyklad Varka 400, nie wszystkie piwa z karty zawsze sa, wystrój bardzo oryginalny, swietne sa cale sciany powykladane butelkami, jak w piwnicach, na lezaku, obsluga bardzo mila, sprawna, jedzenie tez spoko. Dla beergeeków zwiedzajacych Kijów w sam raz.

A really nice place with decent beers and great food.

Located on the 6th floor of the Tsum shopping mall, this is a fun stop. The beer itself isn't great, being very sweet, but it's a comfortable, classy place to chill. You can even take your beer up a floor to enjoy some amazing views from the roof balcony. They had 4 beers on tap - flights of 4 x 100mL available for dirt cheap. They also have a good import bottle selection with reasonable prices. Friendly service. Not a beer highlight for Kiev, but it was a good stop.
