Depaas was interesting with a rough touch. The server was very friendly, but overall I wasn't all that impressed with the place. I found the stools to be small and uncomfortable, and the particleboard tables seemed cheap. The 7 Depaas beers showed imagination, but we were thinking they seemed more like cocktail flavors than beer (mint, cola, flower). The glasses were not proper pints, perhaps more like 300-350ml, making the 890-980 prices pretty steep. They offered 3 imports, including Bud and a 10% Mikkeller (for 1480). We ordered a tapas plate that was a bit upscale, with pate, etc. There were only 3 other customers, and I wonder if they will survive for long.

An awesome little brewpub north of the city. It has a modern industrial look with concrete floors and fancy lighting. The bar itself is rather small with seating for 25, next to the nicely illuminated brewing equipment. They have six of their own beers on tap with four guests. Working Wi-Fi and a super friendly owner. English is well spoken here. Highly recommended and I will for sure return myself one day.

Small basement place, cozy, with a rather rough feeling that was a plus. People working there, including the brewer, were very friendly. Beers are clean. A bit too much spice for my taste, but no real issues. I had some homemade ham that was awesome as well. Worth a visit for sure.

Cool little brewpub near Ones and Yellow Ape. Great prices on their beers and good prices on imports. Fish and chips I had were excellent. The beer was decent, room for improvement there. I'll be back.

Midway between Tetard Vallee and Yellow Ape, I think it is near that other new brewpub as well. They just opened and launched their first beer in May 2018 (Kuju IPA, a decent old school West Coast type IPA) but when I went the taps (8-10) were mostly imports. It's in a basement by a canal near Kitahama station and you enter the dark beer cave you see the brewing set up on your left. In front of you are a half dozen tables seating 6-8 people and the bar with further seating for 5-6. I didn't try the food but they were brewing a Jasmine beer when I went and the mashing in smelled heavenly, I got to briefly chat with the brewer and the bartenders were nice too. A good place that is a but more rock n' roll/dark dive bar in atmosphere than the bright Tetard Vallee brewpub. A cool place.
