Zum Augustiner Rosenheim

We visited here with Lynn and Barry, Saturday 14th December 2019 the whole of this area of the centre of town was given over to a Christmas Market. I have added this place because we tried two other places which we couldn't get into as we were only wanting to have a drink. This place had a dedicated area at the front of the building for those just wanting a beer. It is very centrally located in the town and looks quite inconspicuous amongst it's surroundings, there were a couple or so tables out the front where hardy smokers could indulge their smoking needs and have a beer and I think that this was partially covered. Inside it's narrow but quite long and opened up at the rear, everything beyond the bar, which as mentioned is at the front as soon as you enter, is for eating. We sat to the right hand side of the bar, they had Edelstoff on tap which was excellent, Lynn had a Hefe-Weisse. It was very busy with Christmas shoppers but felt like a proper pub. I would definitely return here if in town again.
